KNOWLEDGE FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS
Knowledge for social entrepreneurs

Soliciting funding, building staff capacity, measuring impact, and communicating better - non profits and social enterprises face multiple challenges and competing pressures, while there is limited support and too few hours in a day for their leaders. We have frequently seen organizations being turned down for funding because of a lack of a long term growth plan that outlines their management structure, strategy and focus.

Dasra Social-Impact
Through Dasra Social-Impact we help non profits and social businesses, with a clear ambition for scale, build a business plan, create a strong network and connect to the right funding opportunities. The program provides social sector leaders with a space to think critically about how to create a strategy for scale, and how to persuade donors to allocate much needed funding for organizational development.

Dasra’s Hands on Assistance
If an organization is selected for funding through the Dasra Social-Impact program or the Dasra Giving Circles, Dasra will continue to share its knowledge and skills through intensive hands on assistance and capacity building.  Typically, an organization in the portfolio will receive up to 250 days of assistance over a 3-year period that might include financial management, recruitment assistance, communications support, CEO mentoring, strategic planning and ongoing networking for funding opportunities.

Organizations currently receiving Dasra’s hands-on assistance include:
