Magic Bus – Turning a Dream Into a Successful NGO
Matt Spacie knows a lot about the power of using sports to help children break out of tough situations. Prior to becoming the CEO of Magic Bus in Mumbai, India, Matt used to spend evenings after working at his full-time corporate job, teaching underprivileged youth how to play rugby. On weekends, he took these youth along with children from similar backgrounds to explore local mountains and beaches. He saw those experiences as opportunities to mentor the children, build self esteem and introduce life skills that could help the kids change their destiny.

Aangan Trust – Helping an Organization Find its Strength
The only thing harder than helping care for the more than 30,000 children that live in state-run “remand homes” across Maharashtra may be trying to get the government to help with the effort. Together, Aangan Trust and Dasra have made life better for these children by linking government authorities and institutional staff with Aangan’s NGO staff in a productive, trusting relationship. And with Dasra’s assistance, Aangan has diversified its donor base and expanded its capacity to make a difference.
