Advisory Services - Organizational Development Organizational development and all the buzz words tied to it aren’t foremost on the minds of those trying to prevent female infanticide in rural villages. And, those in the slums working with abused and addicted street children are busy trying to get the kids into programs that will turn their lives around. Their expertise is in working small wonders everyday. Dasra brings the broader perspective and management expertise that enables them to scale up their initiatives so that fewer children die, and there is hope for the next generation. Dasra helps its partners in the areas of strategic planning, legal/regulatory advice, financial management, succession planning, human resource development, and performance assessment.
Rural Rehabilitation Center (RRC): Finding Focus Amidst Adversity
When RRC’s founder passed away unexpectedly, the organization was left without a succession plan for the NGO’s management. With this gap in leadership, combined with an overstretched staff, RRC became stagnant and the quality of its programs declined. With Dasra’s guidance and organizational planning experience, the group got back on its feet, cut its budget costs by nearly 50% and expanded its operations to include adult literacy schools in 35 villages.
