Advisory Services - Research & Dissemination Dasra’s research leads to the development of models and approaches that staff of non profit organizations can readily implement. Dasra uses its ability to communicate and evaluate all stakeholders (e.g. staff, beneficiaries, community members, government officials, and funders) to provide investors with independent analysis that is key to their decision-making processes. Dasra establishes metrics that enable social investors, donors and non profit organizations to implement models that come with proven success rates. Results from this kind of research have far reaching ramifications. Clear insights on best practices from a grassroots level to a macro level provide stakeholders with the information they need to address complex social challenges.
Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) – Setting an Example in the Field of Social Enterprise Research
For many developing countries, including India, socially-conscious investors have no resources to research best practices or measure social impact. Dasra has embarked on a research project with two partners, the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) and Aavishkaar, India’s first social venture capital fund, to help establish such a base of research. The goal of the project is to create metrics that social enterprises and investors can use to measure social impact, and to encourage investment in socially responsible ventures in India overall.
