Dasra - Social Impact Application Procedure 2009

Dasra - Social-Impact’s professional development program offers training, mentoring, networking opportunities, access to capacity building, and access to financial support to help successful social entrepreneurs advance to the next level in pursuit of their vision. These unique services will be delivered and supported in collaboration with leading local, state and national practitioners and mentors. The program requires a serious time commitment from the selected social entrepreneurs and ultimately enables them to effectively ramp up and scale their social ventures. Fifteen organizations will be selected to participate in the 2009/2010 program hosted in Mumbai, India. Details of the structure and content are available in the .

How to Apply
High potential organizations interested in participating in the program can . All organizations must review and meet before completing and submitting their application.

All applicants must keep in mind that the success of the program depends not only on the organizations passion for accelerating the growth of their ventures, but their commitment to the year-long program schedule. Please review the estimated commitment in the prior to submitting an application.

Application Deadline
Applications for the 2009/2010 program will be accepted between 3rd April
and 30th June 2009.

Space is limited and the program will be filled on a rolling basis.

Selection Process
Dasra Social-Impact staff and an appointed selection committee will review all the applications and contact finalist organizations by 31st July 2009. Finalists will have the opportunity to provide additional information to support their candidacy during the interview. Finalists will also be assessed as to their willingness and ability to pay for the Dasra - Social-Impact program.

Participation Fee
Each selected organization will be required to pay Rs. 50,000 to Dasra upon beginning the program in September 2009. The fee for enrolment on the program is Rs. 20,000 and there is a deposit of Rs. 30,000 which will be returned on successful completion of the program. Scholarships will be made available to organizations on an as-needed basis.

  • Completed application form
  • Professional-quality resume of the nominated representative/s (no more than two pages)
  • Copy of your organization’s legal or founding documents - please scan and email these
  • Three professional references in the Dasra form –
  • Organization’s financial statements (balance sheet and income statements) for the last two completed fiscal years, audited if available – please scan and email

    You may submit supplemental materials such as the annual report, marketing materials (brochure, flyers, newsletters, etc.), business or project plan and feasibility or market studies.
