How Hemendra Kothari took family legacy in philanthropy on the next level
Hemendra Kothari, Non-Executive Chairman of DSP Investment Managers Pvt grew up in a family which has been giving back to society for the last 100 years. His father who used to give away most of the savings in philanthropy inculcated the spirit of giving in him and his daughters.
He combined this spirit of giving with his personal passion which was love for nature and wildlife. Today Kothari’s collaborations with multiple NGOs are creating impact in 120 national parks and reserves across 19 states. “As money is growing, we have to understand how to spend it more scientifically and in an impactful way,” says Kothari about challenges in the philanthropy sector.
