When asked about the importance of collaborative action in philanthropy, Sanjeev Bikchandani, co-founder of Ashoka University said, “Collaboration is important because you can't do great things alone. You can't build a big organization alone, you need a team. You can't build a great institution alone, you need a team.”
He stresses the importance of collective effort and how it contributed to creation of Ashoka University. He also highlights the crucial role a great team plays in building any great institution. According to him, great causes are often driven by the collective effort of entire organization and not just one proprietor.
